Anya Volz is a New York City-based comic originally from Vermont. Her stand-up comedy has been described as funny, surprising and also not preposterous by people from all over America. She has been a writer for Riot Fest's Hard Times, MacaulayCulkin Bunny Ears and a content creator. Her work has been published in BuzzFeed and Vulture. She has also performed at a variety of national comedy events, including New York Comedy Festival & Women in Comedy Festival. The co-host is of the Best Mistakes Podcast, which involves making mistakes alongside Brooklyn comedy legend Nika Lombazzo. Her Time of the week shows, which is held weekly at The the Stand Comedy Club's central room was produced by her and she co-hosted it. Thirst Trap is a monthly show featuring Anya Volz which has played in legendary locations such as Union Hall Caveat House of YES. The New York Times has also written about the show. The father of her mother, who is Argentinan of Scottish and English heritage is also her mother. The mother of her is Spanish-English. Taylor-Joy, who is youngest of five children. Four of them come from her father's previous marriage. They lived within Buenos Aires until she was six years old, and then moved to the Victoria area of London. Taylor-Joy stated that the move had been difficult and that she was unable to go back to school in English because she hoped to be able to return to Argentina. Her school had to change from Northlands to Hill House. Then she went to Queen's Gate School, where she learned dance and participated in plays. When she was 16 she dropped out of school in order to take on a full-time job in acting. The dream of Taylor-Joy to become a professional actress was born at an early age.
