The athlete earned international recognition and admiration when she gave the world one of its greatest events in the history of sports - scoring the first-ever perfect 10 on bars that were symmetrical in the Montreal Olympic Games in 1976. And, to top it off she scored six more perfect 10s, thereby becoming the youngest all-around Olympic gold medalist, at just 14 years of age.
